Sprigati Rigatoni Veggie Pasta

(*Vegetarian) – This recipe will feed 2, please feel free to adjust to fed more. You may also add meat if you wish (see below for details).

 

Ingredients:

1 Sprigati jar (15.94 oz.)

Rigatoni Pasta (2 cups)

Black Olives a single (3.8 oz. can)

Zucchini

Mozzarella cheese

Red Pepper

Cucumber

Season All

Butter (salted or unsalted)

Instructions:

Cook pasta boil with water and add 1 tablespoon of butter

Dice zucchini, cucumber and red peppers and sauté in a large pan with dash of olive oil

Once vegetables are cooked through, add black olives, cooked pasta and continue to sauté for 2 more minutes

Pour cooked pasta into pan with veggies and mix, add 1 Jar 15.94 oz. jar of Sprigati sauce

*If you are using meat, please add the cooked meat into the pan at this time

Cook on medium heat for another 4 minutes, while stirring and then pour in cheese until it slightly melts

Serve and ENJOY!  

*WITH MEAT – add 1 pound of 98% lean beef cooked to taste, season with season all and add

Sprigati Eggplant Parmesan

 

Ingredients:

2 eggplants, peeled

3 eggs, beaten

2 cups bread crumbs plain (not seasoned)

2 cups Mozzarella cheese

1 cup Parmesan cheese

2 (15 oz. jars) of Sprigati sauce (you can use one jar if you wish, but if you love a lot of sauce then 2 is recommended)

Instructions:

1. Cut eggplants into ¼ thick slices and let them soak in water for 20 minutes.

2. Drain eggplants and rinse with cold water then pat dry.

3. Preheat oven to 450 degrees.

4. Dip each slice in egg, and then dredge it in bread crumbs. Place each slice on a lightly greased baking sheet or place on parchment paper. Bake for 5 minutes on one side, flip them over and bake for 5 minutes more.

5. Reduce oven heat to 350 degrees.

6. In a 9x13 pan, spread 1 cup of Sprigati sauce. Layer with half of the eggplant slices. On top, add another cup of Sprigati sauce, spreading it evenly over the eggplant. Top that with ½ cup of Parmesan cheese and 1 cup of Mozzarella cheese. Repeat with a second layer of eggplant, Sprigati sauce and cheeses.

7. Bake for 30 to 35 minutes or until cheese starts to golden.

Sprigati Meat Sauce Recipe

This recipe can feed at least 7 Adults

 

Ingredients:

3 lbs. of ground chuck

3 jars of Sprigati sauce

1 roll of Bob Evan’s Italian Sausage

 

 

Instructions:

Combine sausage and ground chuck in a saucepan and cook over medium heat until brown.  Season meat with seasonal season salt.

Once the meat is cooked, add 3 jars of Sprigati sauce and mix while continuing to simmer over medium heat for approximately 30 minutes.

Turn heat off and add meat sauce to your favorite pasta noodle

Serve and enjoy!

TIP:  When boiling the water for your pasta, add season salt to the water and bring to boil, then add and cook your pasta. This will help intensify the flavor of the pasta. After you strain the pasta, add at least 2 tablespoons of butter. You can add more butter to your liking.
